What makes these chairs unique is that the base is made from steel. Most children's chairs you find out on the market have very weak plastic bases. The Flexa chair has a nice heavy metal base so it is strong and durable and also since the base is heavy, the chairs do not flip over as easily as the plastic base models. The seat is height adjustable. Both the seat and the back are covered in fabric.Dimensions:Seat Cushion: 16" D x 18" W(The depth is from the front of the seat to the back of the seat)Back Rest: 16" H x 16" W(The height of the back rest is when assembled and is measured from the seat cushion to the very top of the back cushion.
